The key to health is good time management. In today’s world we aren’t healthy (or as healthy as we want to be) because we don’t plan the time to make that happen. We often know some steps we should be taking to make improvements, but they get pushed aside due to poor management of time.
Situations and life come up when I am working with many of you in the office, and often, you are off track because of some form of lack of time management. Some scenario in life comes up and you miss a visit. As a doctor I have a tough time responding to it. I CARE so deeply that it hurts and weighs on me for many of you patients. I care that you don’t feel well. I care that your kid has a game or meeting. I care that work is a mess and stressful this week. I care that a crisis in your family came up. I care about you and your feelings. Unfortunately, that does not change the tough truth…. subluxation and disease do not care. Disease doesn’t care if you are sick, broke, unhappy, stressed, angry, needing a vacation, or just lazy. It will go on developing and destroying regardless. It does not stop just because you didn’t take time to address it.
I sat at the adjusting table with a lady in our office the other day with stage 4 cancer. This was just after her MD talked with her about hospice the day before. She is willing to do anything. She will give all the time she has and all the resources she has now to one thing…her health. My heart broke for her and that’s when it hit me… your doctor you should demand I always speak to you like this and never let you get away with excuses to not take care of your health. You should demand that I keep encouraging in a hard, LOVING way to stay on track, make up visits, and do what is required to get you healthy. You and I both know if you lost your health today that your whole life would have to stop to take care of it and address it. So, my job is to lead you so that never happens in the first place. If I don’t address you missing care, then that would mean I don’t care!
So, with love, and for your health. Here it goes…. Make up a visit this week. Make up several if you are behind! Get on track before disease derails you! It’s cold and flu season. Things are stressful. Get adjusted- you need it! Let alone the nutrition, supplement, and workout steps you need to take. At least get your adjustment regimen on track! Once you have, let’s go to the next step. I refuse to let you sit idle or go backward. You are here so that you live to your full potential, and I want nothing less for you! Talk to the front today and they will help, within their every power, to help you get on track this week by managing and committing your time to your health. Step 1: Identify the time(s) each day and week that would work best for your adjustment(s). Step 2: Stick to that schedule. Sporadic adjustment times leads to missed visits and poor results.
Some Thoughts For The Week:
- Don’t worry too much about who wins the elections next week. The overwhelming majority of your problems will still be your own fault.
- The Buddha was asked why he didn’t respond to a heckler who kept trying to give him grief. The Buddha responded, “If someone attempts to give you something, and you refuse to accept it, to whom does that thing belong? “
- When looking for a healthcare provider, why not choose one who has spent the majority of their time in school and in practice studying and implementing health creating strategies that focus on and increase your chances of fully living, rather than those who have done nothing but study and treat disease and focus on not dying? Life is about SO MUCH MORE than simply NOT being sick and NOT dying, wouldn’t you agree?
